Our truffiére was planted in 2002 and we had our first harvest in 2007 with a yield of just over 2 kilograms.  The 2008 season harvest was beyond our expectations with just over 10 kilograms being harvested.  We are well on track to achieve the expected 30-50 kilogram per hectare harvest.

With the yield proved and the experience gained we have decided to plant a larger truffiére.  We are seeking an investor or small group of investors to establish a truffiére in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, the truffiére is located just under a 2 hour drive from Sydney or Canberra.

The truffiére is to be planted with oak trees inoculated with the Périgord Black Truffle (Tuber melansporum), this planting will consist of 80-90% of the total planting.  The balance will be planted with trees inoculated with the Tuber magnatum – the elusive white truffle.  This truffle has not been cultivated anywhere in the world to date and we have access to trees inoculated with the Tuber magnatum spore to make this dream a reality. 

No one anywhere in the world has yet cultivated this mystical and rarest of truffles with the most arresting scent in the culinary world.  Imagine being the first to cultivate the white truffle, a most fantastic journey and experience.
